Using the Stedi Step™

Stedi Step™ stabilizing blocks are designed to eliminate the bounce of steps when entering or exiting your RV or motorhome. They are designed to hold the bottom step 2” up to 6.5” from the ground. The stepped side of the Stedi Step™ begins at 2” tall with stabilizing notches every inch. By rotating the block 90 degrees, the stepped side now begins at 2.5” tall, again with stabilizing notches every inch. This combination gives you a stabilizing notch every 1/2”, allowing you to always have the correct size for easy use.

Directions for Use

Important! Begin by turning off your steps if they automatically deploy when the door is opened.

We recommend using two Stedi Step™ blocks per set of steps. Place a Stedi Step™ block on either side of the bottom step. Turn the block from side to side to determine which side of the block has a stabilizing notch just above the bottom edge of the step. Slightly lift the step and place it in the corresponding notch. Repeat for the opposite side. Stand on the bottom step- it should be solid without any bounce.

Be aware that your RV can settle when parked. This may cause the Stedi Step™ blocks to become hard to remove. In this case, use your leveling jacks to slightly lift the RV and remove the blocks.

If when using leveling jacks, your bottom step is higher than the Stedi Step™, you can use a simple block to make up most of the difference. Example: Your bottom step is 8” from the ground. Use a 4” tall block with the Stedi Step™ on top. You will then have an adjustment range from 6” up to 10.5”.

Always remove the Stedi Step™ before retracting your steps!
